More about
Exeter Science Centre
We are an education charity established in 2020, working to creatively connect people with research, industry and action focused around global issues. We help people to recognise the local relevance of global issues as well as their own role in mitigating them. In parallel to our projects we are working to create a network of hands-on science centres in the South West beginning in North Devon and Exeter to enable us connect with more people, more regularly. We are small charity, directed by two scientists. We regularly partner with other organisations, as well as benefitting from a large number of volunteers who support our events and projects. Volunteers bring a wealth of enthusiasm and diversity of background, skills and experience which really enhance the work that we do. We are really keen to work with more young volunteers to support our events and activities, to help us to understand how to best reach young people, and to help to steer the future of our organisation. Through these opportunities volunteers will boost their confidence and communication skills, their STEMM knowledge and work alongside STEMM professionals, whilst helping to steer the future plans for our science centres so that they are places of real value and opportunity for young people.
